Central Asia Missions

The peoples of Central Asia, with a Muslim population numbering about 46 Million, are among the most open and receptive Islamic groups in the world. The region is also among the most unreached areas in the world. However, since the break-up of the Soviet Union there have been many churches planted and the church is growing dramatically in the region.

SGI is to partnering with the emerging church in Central Asia through training and mobilization to reach the Islamic world with the gospel.

Here is a partial listing of the people groups that are considered apart of the Central Asian and Turko-Persian speaking region: Uzbek, Kyrgyz, Kazakh, Tajik, Karakalpak, Turkmen, Tartar, Uigher, Iranian, Pakistani, Hazari, and others.
